Creative Techniques Photo Assignment

All 5 photos for the lyrics are scenic and do not have much to them yet they fit the words so perfectly. They allow the viewer to focus on the words yet they help the viewer understand the words better. I believe they are a perfect fit.

When doing this project i learned just how important the location and the lighting is. The photos are 1000x better when they are outside or in a brighter, more lighted location. If i did this again then i would focus more on zooming and maybe try out different things with it because i feel like that was my weak point. I also learned more about photoshop and how to use it which will be very helpful with future assignments.

Photo assignment (motion)

For this assignment i think i knew what i was doing and could easy get the assignment done in time but i wish i knew zooming better. I think that was my downfall and should practice more maybe with faster and slower shutter speeds

Motion 1

Blurred Motion is achived by a fast moving object with a low shutter speed and a tripod if wanted. Your camera must be metered

Frozen Motion is achieved by using a very high shutter speed of about 1/1000 and tripod if wanted. You must meter the camera

To achieve panning you much has a semi fast shutter speed about 1/60 and no tripod just follow the object as it moves. The camera must be metered

to achieve zooming you must have a very slow shutter speed of about 2 seconds and you must has a tripod as well you simply press the shutter button and then zoom in the whole way before the shutter is done. The camera must e metered

Writing with light is achieved by not metering your camera and in a dark setting. The shutter speed should be for as long as you are wanting to write

Motion Blog 2

  Blurred motion

Blurred motion allows you to see how fast things are moving at a lower speed

Chrono

Chrono allows you to see one long continuous motion broken up

Frozen Motion
frozen motion allows you to see a really fast motion that you cant capture with the naked eye

Panning
panning is a way to focus on one thing moving really fast but the background is blurry so it can show just how fast the object is actually moving

Writing with light
writing with light is so cool because it is something you cannot just do with the naked eye

Zooming
all of the lights and colors moving twards you is very intresting and the reason why zooming is very cool.

Aperture Quiz

Small DOF (F4)

Medium DOF (F10)

Large DOF (F25)

i like this assignment we had a lot of freedom. I definitely think my work is getting better as we learn more principals and even though this is not the most interesting scene to shot i think it is great depth of field. Depth of field can be manipulated by the aperture size which is the f-stop. We manipulate the aperture in order to create a focal point or to have everything in focus.
